Maryland and the US Senate

OK.  On March 2, 2015, Barbara Mikulski announced she is retiring and she said those who want to succeed her will start talking about it in ten minutes.

While not quite ten minutes, Congressman Chris Van Hollen announced on March 4, 2015 that he will run for Mikulski's seat.

On March 10, 2015, US Congresswoman Donna Edwards announced she will run for Mikulski's seat.

We'll have to wait and see if anyone else decides to run for the seat, but both Van Hollen and Edwards are, to me at least, both very attractive candidates.

Politics - 2015

A lot is happening in Maryland this year.  And I'll be back to discuss it.

The Trouble With Cars

Today is the treck to Maryland's Motor Vehicles Administration to get my Milan's emissions test.  Visiting MVA for my Emissions Inspection Program means I will be late to the office.  Boo-hoo!

CLeaning Out Mom's

Spent part of the weekend cleaning out Mom's.  I brought home china and her flatware.  Also brought a table that I do not know where to place.

Oh well.

A Year of Miracles

When I get home today, I am hoping that Marianne Williamson's A Year of Miracles: Daily Devotions and Reflections is waiting for me.

Marianne Williamson has become one of my favorite authors.

A friend of mine gave me Marianne's book Age of Miracles: Embracing the New Middle Age a couple of months ago and I loved it.  Ever since Marianne Williamson has been a major influence on me.

I'm Back

Well, after a long hiatus, I'm back.

We'll see where this goes.

I don't know if I will write about politics, or other interesting (at least to me) topics.  I guess we will find out soon enough!

Martin O'Malley For President

This blog's purpose is to promote Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley for President of the United States.

Yup, O'Malley should run for President in 2016 or, depending on what happens the 2008 election, in 2012.

Why should O'Malley run for President?

Well, he is currently serving as Governor of Maryland after unseating a Republican Incumbant. And O'Malley served two terms as Mayor of Baltimore.

So he is a sitting Governor who was Mayor of the 19th largest city in America.

So there you have it. As time goes on, I will post more about O'Malley and why I believe he will make a good President.
